Refrigerators

  1. Place your refrigerator on a flat and level surface, away from any sources of heat.
  2. Allow approximately 4 inches from all sides and the back of the fridge for air circulation.
  3. Connect the power cord to its own power outlet. Do not place other appliances on the same outlet (e.g. "power bar"). If the refrigerator cord is too short, please use a three pronged extension cord. DO NOT USE A TWO PRONGED EXTENSION CORD.
  4. Set the temperature control to the medium setting and allow the fridge to cool. Then set to level 5 or the medium position. The refrigerators have a compressor that will turn on and off as is necessary to keep the refrigerator cool.
  5. Please be aware that freezer portion of the refrigerator is not sufficiently insulated to freeze products for a long period of time.
  6. For the most efficient operation of your freezer, defrost the freezer portion of your refrigerator whenever the layer of the frost on the wall reaches 1/4" thick. Defrost by unplugging the fridge and regularly emptying the drip tray. Do not scrape the ice off the walls of the freezer as this will break the fridge.
